The world of Special Education can often be overwhelming. Educate for Success can help you navigate the path. We are available to accompany you to Individualized Educational Plans (IEP) and 504 Plan meetings. We can help you write meaningful and measurable goals for your child, as well as identify the appropriate accommodations to help your child succeed in the classroom setting. Educate for Success will be your advocate to ensure your child receives all of the services he/she is entitled to. In addition, we can help you understand and interpret reports and evaluations.

Reading is the foundation for all academic subjects. At Educate for Success, we offer a variety of multi-sensory reading techniques for students with learning differences. The multi-sensory approach is not only beneficial for students with Dyslexia, but for all students who need additional support with reading skills. Our tutors are trained in Orton-Gillingham, Wilson Reading and Hill RAP reading programs. These programs break decoding skills into segments using auditory, visual and kinesthetic cues. Reading comprehension focuses on main idea, sequencing, recalling facts and details, cause and effect, vocabulary, context clues, inferencing skills, prediction and summarizing. In addition, we help students with higher-level critical thinking skills as they relate to reading and other core subjects. We also work with our youngest students using multi-sensory techniques to help children crack the code for decoding words. We work on phonemic awareness, decoding, encoding and spelling using auditory, visual and kinesthetic pathways. Word attack skills, sight words and basic spelling rules are introduced. Educate for Success can pinpoint your child’s learning style and adapt a program to best fit their needs.

At Educate for Success, we know that reading comprehension is more than answering the who, what, where, when and how in a given text. Our tutors work with students to understand Author’s Purpose, Author’s Voice, Author’s Point of View, Figurative Language, Making Predictions, Character Analysis, Story Elements, Personal Response, Evaluation and Synthesis of Information. These skills are critical to becoming confident, competent readers and learners.

Our tutors are available for all levels of Math and Engineering including college level and beyond. Specialties include, but not limited to, Geometry, Integrated Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I and II, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Statistics, Honors, AP and IB programs as well as AICE courses. We also prepare students for their End of Course Exams (EOC).

Educate for Success offers tutoring for all science courses including, but not limited to Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, Environmental Science, General Science, Marine Biology, Physics, Anatomy and Physiology. We can assist with Honors, AP,IB Programs and AICE courses.

Tutoring services are available for all History classes including, but not limited to, World Cultures, Geography, Human Geography, U.S. History, World History, American Government, Honors, AP, IB Programs and AICE courses.

We teach a variety of strategies including Organizational Systems, Time Management, Note-Taking and Outlining, Executive Functioning Skills, use of Graphic Organizers and Test Taking Strategies. Our tutors can also provide services for Executive Function Disorder helping your child remember instructions, plan and set schedules and manage multiple tasks. We provide our clients with the skills to keep them organized and confident.

Educate for Success can provide tutors for Spanish, French and Hebrew. We can handle all levels of Spanish and French, including beginners, Honors, AP, and AICE. We also offer American Sign Language.

Educate for Success offers individualized tutoring for the SAT, ACT, PSAT, SSAT, GMAT, GRE, and GED. After a pretest is administered, we assess the student’s strong suits and area(s) needing improvement to create a personalized instruction plan. We take pride in providing our students with proven test strategies aimed at demystifying patterns of standardized tests, mastering time management techniques, and transforming content weaknesses into strengths. The end result are students who feel prepared and confident on the day of their test.

We can assist with all subject matter for grades K – 12; portfolios, teacher evaluations, Florida Virtual School (FLVS/FLEX) and can even provide a personalized Homeschooling curriculum. Our tutors ensure your child is mastering the skills needed to stay on track with their education in conjunction with the Florida State Standards and Benchmarks.

Educate for Success is excited to share that we have partnered with “Avoid The Slide.” This distinctive summer program is targeted for students in grades K-5 and focuses on helping students maintain the skills previously taught throughout the school year. Statistics show that many students lose approximately 20-27% of their school-year gains in reading and math during the summer months. Each lesson is presented in a multisensory, interactive and experiential way in order to engage the students throughout their learning process. Small group and private lessons are available.
